Student Evaluation Case Competition

Congratulations to our 2018 Case Competition Winners - Team ReThink,
from Universities of Victoria, Melbourne, British Columbia and Simon Fraser!

What is the Case Competition?

Running for over twenty years, the Student Evaluation Case Competition is a two-round annual Canadian competition that helps post-secondary students build and showcase their program evaluation skills. Through the use of real-world programs and cases, students work in teams to respond to a request for proposals over a limited time period.

The 2019 Preliminary Round has been completed!

Congratulations to the three finalist teams, who will be competing at the annual CES Conference in Halifax:

  • Bridge2Action (Simon Fraser University)

  • Innov@ction (ENAP)

  • SAJE Research Consultants (Memorial University of Newfoundland)

Thank you to the 14 teams who competed from across Canada. See you in Halifax!

Why should you compete?

The Student Evaluation Case Competition has earned a reputation as a dynamic, hands-on opportunity for post-secondary students to learn about evaluation

The Case Competition provided an excellent opportunity for me to advance my communication, teamwork, and evaluation skills. It was the best experience of my graduate studies!

The Case Competition has become a very important component in our program. It is a perfect way to illustrate the ‘real-world’ issues of evaluation and better prepare students for their eventual careers.
